Did you know that in 2002 Nick Griffin from the far-right British National Party refused to support England in the Football World Cup because the national squad had black players on it? Yeah but wait, now it gets funny. Instead, the BNP opted to support Denmark. Why? Because out of all the countries in the tournament, Denmark was the only one with an all-white team. Ouch.
I checked to see if Denmark's 2010 squad still qualified for the Griffin stamp of approval. A search of the Wikipedia revealed Denmark's current national squad, and a check of the biographies of the athletes revealed that there was one person who originated in ... Montenegro (Rajko Lekic), while another, Kenneth Perez, was all of half Spanish. Ouch.
What can I say, it's a busy day and this is the best I can come up with between deadlines.
