Hello, testing, is this thing still on?

I'm back from my self-imposed blogging vacation. I took a long pause to catch my breath and re-evaluate a few things. Denmark is in a strange phase right now, where since the year's start there haven't been many significant policy changes regarding immigration. Whether that's good or bad is still anyone's guess. For a while it looked like Dansk Folkeparti had finally run out of hot air, but that isn't denting their support any. If anything, DF seems to have been accepted by mainstream Danish politics as a stable and reliable party that has earned its right to stay. Not quite what I was hoping for.

On a more personal note, I was getting tired of being constantly annoyed. Years of pent-up frustration got a chance to come out and it was great to see that people were agreeing with me, but after a while you start to realize that you're still annoyed. Ranting about stupid laws doesn't change stupid laws. I'm still a guy on the sidelines who feels like a tiny boat on a wild, angry ocean. I took a break from all the negativity and pretended I was somewhere else, and I enjoyed it so much so that I found it difficult to start writing again.

Sorry, but I can't email people directly. I know I promised I would, but it's too much of a security hassle. I try to do everything via proxy servers (yes, I'm that paranoid), but I doesn't work too well for emailing.

Once again, I want to point out that this is not and has never been an "anti-Dane" blog. I've explained the how's and why's several times before, so I won't do it again. But thanks to everyone who supported.
