This is a political blog. By definition, it contain's strongly-worded opinions.
I want to state for the record that when I criticize Denmark, I criticize some, yes, a majority of Danes, but I am not naming names or drawing faces. More than anything I am critical of a long and complex process that has produced a specific result. That result is a set of laws and a social climate that I feel is irrational and unfair, and deprives many of us of the happiness we work hard to achieve. I am critical of the people who actively support this outcome. I am even more critical of the other people who without conscience can stand by passively and let it happen, like there's nothing they can do about it. I think that most of the people who'll cry foul over generalization will be the second type, as they are the most likely feel awkward about having to face the unfair things they've done. Wait, did I just make another generalization ?
I can't run every single person, Danish or otherwise, through a bigotry detector - only you know what's inside of you. And of course it would be absurd of me to imply that everyone in Denmark is a bigot. Nor would I gain anything from such an extreme generalization ; the purpose of my rant is not to sink Denmark but to play a part in changing its course.
If you're against the way the current immigration laws work, we're cool. You don't have to open the borders either - just support more humanistic policies. If you're against xenophobia and believe people should be judged on what they do and not where they're from, then you and I have no beef. And if you can respect that we're all individuals, and that we, like you, have a right to get indignant when repeatedly pushed back, then you're one of the good guys. Whoever and wherever you are, I hope this message got through. Peace.

I'm betting that's where you lost most people, cause god forbid someone might put a fish fillet on a bun, or something really awful like that.
